Our History

We are currently one of the largest wholesalers & importers of spices & herbs in the United States. However, we come from humble roots.

It all started in Sri Lanka

Our company began in 1955 with our grandfather Garumuni Peter De Silva who came from a small town named Balapitiya in Sri Lanka. In the early 1950’s he sold cinnamon out of a wooden ox cart.

By the year 1970…

He grew his business enough to start a little shop in the Southern Sri Lanka, near his hometown to sell cinnamon & others spices.

In the Year 2002, Garumni and his family moved to the United States and began to sell locally in Downtown Los Angeles. The company soon began doing business internationally and expanded to selling a variety of other spices as well.

Current Day

Years later, we became the leading importer and wholesaler of herbs and spices in the world. We import 60 various superfood ingredients from 30 different countries. Many years of experience sourcing quality ingredients give us the ability to provide our clients with the best products in the market.

“We continues to follow in our grandfather’s footsteps and strive towards his vision of providing the highest quality of spices around the world. This passion embodies who we are and what we stand for as a company.”
